A flexible circuit board, also known as a "soft board", is a printed circuit made of a flexible Insulator material. Flexible circuit boards can greatly reduce the volume and weight of electronic products, and it’s a solution to meet the electronic products requirements of miniaturization and mobility. Now, PCBearth will take you to find out the types of flexible circuit boards.
1. Single panel
After the circuit board is completed, a single-sided PI copper-clad material is used, and then a layer of protective film is covered to form a flexible circuit board with only a single layer of conductors.
2. Ordinary double panel
After the double-sided circuit board is completed using the double-sided PI board copper-clad material, a layer of protective film is added on both sides to become a flexible circuit board with double-layer conductors.
3. Substrate generation single panel
In the PCB circuit board manufacturing process using pure copper foil material, a layer of protective film is added on both sides successively to become a circuit board with only a single layer of conductors but with conductors on both sides of the flexible circuit board.
4. Substrate generation double-sided panel
Using two layers of single-sided PI copper-clad material for lamination, it becomes a double-sided conductor circuit board with a two-layer separation structure in a local area, so as to achieve a flexible circuit board with high flex performance in the layered area.
The above are the types of flexible circuit boards!
